Jon & Suzanne, 5/23, Houston

Congratulations, Jon & Suzanne!

I've had the privilege of knowing both of them at CBCGB.

Other highlights:
  • Seeing a large group of friends from Boston.  This was my first chance to be in a gathering of friends from Boston since I moved to MD in January.  It was very nice to see a lot of familiar faces
  • Visiting David & Shana and their two kids Joshua and Daphne.  This was my first time seeing Daphne

Maryland, 3/28-29

Since moving to MD, I've been pretty busy so I haven't given much thought to what I'd like to see here.  However, a few weeks ago my parents and my brother visited me.  My dad was in DC for a business trip and my mom and my brother joined him.  That weekend was the start of the annual Cherry Blossom Festival.

One thing we wanted to do was to try some Maryland crab cakes.  To do that, we went to Stoney Creek Inn (Baltimore, MD).  This restaurant was featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri.  Their crab dishes were excellent.

Bill's Cream of Crab Soup.  It's quite thick as one can tell by the amount of soup that's hanging off the bottom of the spoon.

The Jumbo Lump Crab Cake - It's quite big.

The next day, we went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC.  My parents took me there when I was very little but I don't have any memory of it.

Presidents' Day Weekend in Chicago

媽媽,祝您生日快樂!

我二月回家提早慶祝我媽媽的六十歲的生日.  爸爸,弟弟,和我帶她去她非常喜歡的狀元樓 (Schaumburg, IL) 吃晚餐.

In February, I went home for an early celebration of my mom's 60th birthday.  My dad, my brother, and I took her to Yu's Mandarin in Schaumburg, IL, one of her favorite restaurants.

While I was at Chicago O'Hare Int'l Airport waiting for my flight back to MD, I had a chance to see Air Force One.  President Obama's flight was about one hour before mine.
